TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. As virtually all of the artifacts represented on this website are HAND-MADE or HAND-CRAFTED, each and every item will be different in one aspect or the other to those represented on these pages, and while every effort will be made to match the articles ordered as closely as possible to those represented here, no guarantees are given in respect of colour, exact shape or size, or decoration. The decoupage designs and background colours shown on the Ostrich Eggs are changed by the designers from time to time without prior notice, as are those designs on various other items, and while we will make every effort to match an order as closely as possible we can unfortunately offer no absolute guarantee that any item will be identical to the picture shown.
2. Prices given are exclusive of delivery and Value Added Tax. Value Added Tax [South Africa only] will be added when you "check out".
3. All delivery costs (Courier, Surface Mail, Airmail or Local mail [South Africa only]) will be added when you select the delivery method you want and will be be reflected as part of the Total purchase cost at "checkout".
4. All prices are given in South African Rands for local purchases and US$ for international purchases. Payment may be effected by Electronic Funds Transfer if a customer so wishes ........ if this is the case please EMAIL us to make the necessary arrangements for order and delivery.
5. Due to the fact that we are dealing with various parts of Africa where communications often 'go down' without notice, where an order is placed that has to be delivered from a remote location and we are unable to contact the artist or agent in that region you will be notified and a refund will be effected within 7 days.
6. Orders of Biltong and/or Droe Wors (Dried Sausage): Because these products are liable for confiscation in many countries the packaged weight of Biltong or Droë Wors will not exceed 2Kg., and will ONLY be sent by Airmail in the 'small packet' category ......... thus not attracting customs forms or being subjected to the normal scrutiny which 'parcel' or 'courier' post receives. PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to insure these orders or give any undertakings whatsoever in respect of replacement or refunding in the case of loss or confiscation. Whether sliced or whole pieces, the meat will be vacuum packed and mailed in a plain brown 'bubble pack' envelope marked "Gift" to the address given on the order form.

SECURITY

At African Internation Shopping Mall we use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to process your orders on a secure server. SSL is the standard in Internet ordering security. This means that information such as your credit card details are encrypted. As an added precaution, over and above the secure server, as soon as the order has been processed the credit card details are deleted from the site, and are no longer available on the internet. Our SSL digital certificate has been issued by Thawte Certification.

RETURNS POLICY

At African Internation Shopping Mall we pride ourselves on the quality of our service, and always endeavour to meet the high standards we feel our customers deserve. As such the gifts you choose should arrive in good condition. Because of the nature of most of the items which we sell and the fact that they are either old pieces, hand-made, or hand-crafted, as much as we would like to we cannot, unfortunately, offer a 'no-fuss' returns policy. However, if the reason for return is damage in transit or our error, and the goods are returned within 30 days of receipt accompanied by a sworn affidavit, the recipient will be given a choice of receiving a replacement item or repayment. We will also ensure that the recipient is fully reimbursed for the costs incurred in returning the item.

Please note: If the reason is due to fault, damage, or loss in transit, the customer will need to notify African International Shopping Mall within 48 hours of receipt, however they will still have 30 days to return the item(s).
